As a cyclist, I have always had a respect and interest in bicycle messengers. I have collected books, articles, movies, and images of these “envied bastards of the cycling world.” The problem is that the lack of helmet is cultural norm for these urban athletes. My goal was to design a comfortable and attractive helmet to encourage helmet use safety while on the job as a messenger.
